Zombie to the Power of 5: A simple/fun zombie game that tests your skills in evading the dead and surviving the horde!

Objective

Survive and kill hordes of zombies while traversing through multiple worlds.

Mechanics

  1. Shoot and kill zombies all zombies in a level in order to progress. Completing 4 levels transfers player to next world with a rising difficulty.
  2. Pick up randomly spawned items that add to your score/multiplier or give the player a helping hand.
  3. Gain points from killing zombies in order to get major rewards.
  4. Fight with an army of units by your side.
  5. Practice zombie evading in challenge worlds that test you skils in survival.

Some clips included copyrighted music. The audio has been muted and the music for those levels have been replaced to respect licensing terms.

Version 0.0.1 (July 10th)

  • Programmed Top-down player movement and combat.
  • Implemented Enemy AI Movement, death animations, eyeball dropping logic, and ragdoll physics.
  • Added first version of Crosshair.

Version 0.0.2 (July 11th)

  • Implemented a World Manager that spawns a random amount of zombies (within a given range).
  • Created Gameobjects that hold horde information on the current level.
  • Implemented bare-bones version of level transitioning.
  • Added Player Death/Ragdoll physics.

    • Green Zones - Area where zombies spawn.
    • Red Zones - Barriers that players can't cross, but zombies can.

  • Created Title Screen and officially named the game Zombie5 (reference to Tower5).
  • Implemented a player saving system. Saves highscore, player color and stores it in Saved Players (Up to 4).

  • Waypoints for doors and portals.
  • Changed Song for Test World.
  • Added first Hazard: Tesla Tower. They spawn randomly around the map and activate a hurting zone around them that kills anything.
  • Added Player death effects.

Feedback

  • Death Machine Arm animation was confused for a bug.
  • Sparkle effects were too bright.
  • Default Pistol is too weak.
  • Camera zoom in (to prevent clipping) is too jarring.
  • Players would fall out of the world when transferring.
  • Lack of a pause button.
  • Drops were unrecognizable.
  • Save system works but not for colors.
  • Electric Zombie's explosion radius is not accurate with visuals.
